At the moment, day trips are only available in German, but will soon be available to order in English as well.

This depends on how interested you are in seeing new places. If you've explored an area thoroughly, chances are you've already visited some of the stops. But that doesn't mean it won't still be fun! If you just want to have a fun, surprising day and don't mind if you've seen some of the stops before, you can still book a trip in an area you've already explored.

No! The cities you can depart from are listed only as a general indication of the duration of the trip from those starting points. You can start the trip anywhere near one of the departure cities, although the distance will be slightly shorter or longer. If you want to know the exact distance from your home location, please send us an email and we will let you know.

Browse our trips and filter according to your preferences, or ask us! Send us an email and tell us what type of trip you are looking for (hikes, wineries, ancient sites, etc.) and where you want to start from. We will suggest some options.

Most stops are completely free! Occasionally there is a small parking fee, which is noted in the 'Trip Tips' envelope. Occasionally we recommend an interesting "stop on the way" that costs admission but is not an official part of the trip, so you can skip it and still have a great travel experience. Many trips have stops at restaurants, cafes, etc. Any food and drinks you wish to purchase are your responsibility.

Every trip is different, but plan for a full day! A day trip typically lasts between 6 and 8 hours, including driving time and time spent at each stop. Some stops have more than one recommendation, and you don't have to do everything!

Every trip is different. Check the individual trip page for information about the time of year or days of the week a trip can be done. We recommend that you take your road trip within 6 months of purchase. You can do it after that, but we can't guarantee that everything will be up to date. We try our best to keep our recommendations up to date, but due to the changing nature of certain industries, this isn't always possible. Hours and menus can change from one day to the next, or a place may be closed for a special event. If you find that one of the recommendations isn't open, let us know! And we encourage you to explore something else nearby!

The distance between stops is usually between 10 and 30 minutes. You can find more detailed information about the distances between each stop on the individual trip pages. On each trip page you will find information about the distances to the first stop, and the total round trip distances from the cities closest to the day trip area.

Yes! We love the idea of turning a day trip into an overnight trip. We don't book or recommend hotels, but in your confirmation email you will find a PDF attachment with a list of towns near your last stop. You can search for accommodation in or near any of these places. Please note that this document will give away the general location of your last stop.

Most trips have a general theme, and each trip page lists the highlights to give you an idea of what to expect. Your trip could include waterfalls, river walks, lakes, caves, beautiful hiking trails, ancient sites, cafes, restaurants, wineries and breweries, or quaint old towns.

Yes! Most trips can be done with kids, as long as they enjoy exploring. Pay attention to the driving times, as shorter drives may be better, especially for young children. You can find more detailed information on the individual trips page.

Almost all day trips are dog-friendly. This is noted on each trip page. However, dogs may not be allowed inside at certain restaurants or shops.

Some day trips are also accessible for people with reduced mobility. This is noted on the individual trip page. If a trip is listed as accessible, it means that there is at least one accessible recommendation at each stop. Some of the other recommendations may not be accessible.

We try our best to only recommend stops that have at least one vegan option. Many also have gluten-free options, but we can't guarantee this. We try to stay on top of any changes, but due to the ever-changing nature of the industry, menus can change at any time.

We are working on it, but some stops are currently not accessible or cannot be reached by public transportation.
